Rough crowd. Hardwood floors transmit way too much sound through uninsulated floors. Hard mattress, uncomfortable pillows. Room actually had no drawers. There was a rectangle where the closet should be with no door and no pole. Vending machine out of order. Vending and ice only located on ground floor. Someone offered me drugs in the parking lot before I even made it to my check-in. If it was less than $100 for the night I wouldn't complain about these things.
Our check in host was very personable and accommodating. Our room was clean and neat, if not a bit sparse. It also smelled like fresh hay with the undertone of skunk. Hmmmm. The hallways stayed busy through out the night and the guestroom doors repeatedly seemed to slam with a secure bang. TV stations were limited, but you could listen to 2 shows at the same time if you pay attention to the TV coming from the room next door. All in all, I have to remember that this is an hundred dollar a night stay, and for that reason alone, it'll do.
I will definitely be using Motel 6 again in my travels.
While in the Boston area for family business with my pet dogs, I was pleased to discover Motel 6. Usually I stay with family, but this was not an option.
The room itself was basic in its layout and furnishing, but everything I expected. It was clean, the bed was made, the bathroom was large. Everything worked, and the Internet connection was dependable.
We booked a non-smoking room, but it reeked of cigarette smoke. The bathroom was the worst. It seemed to be coming in from a vent or some other port. This made sleeping difficult. I am giving the rating a one star due to this. As a non-smoker, this was hard to endure. We did not change motels as we are unfamiliar with the area, it would be a hassle to move, and it fit our budget. I would give you a three on recommendation but only because of the smoke. The staff was hospitable. Also, a microwave and small frig would have helped.
Atrocious at best! I lost my debit card so I was paying cash for the hotel room they told me in order to reserve the Run since I was paying cash I had to come by that morning to drop off the money. Fine no problem. They guy asked what time I would be there to check in I told him 6 p.m. and he said okay this is going to be a room he is the key for it. 630 rolls around and there are two men right outside the window to my hotel room waiting for a drug deal talking about shooting people and stabbing them. As a young woman I was absolutely mortified and went to the front desk to ask if I could cancel the room and get my money back. I was told absolutely not because I checked in at 9 a.m. I told the person working that I just got in there and I had to pay this morning because I was paying cash and that was the only way to reserve the room he told me oh well no such luck. I called corporate, got told to call another number to which i called and after waiting over five minutes on hold each time I got hung up on. Three times. This location and this company are absolutely Dreadful
I found the folks at the front desk to be very friendly, polite and accommodating, arranging a first floor room for my pups and me at my request - I have found that not all guests at motels are exactly comfortable with dogs, so I do my best to be in elevators, or stairwells, or other enclosed spaces with my pups, as you never know when you'll encounter another guest, or how they'll react to my not exactly small, if friendly, sidekicks.
